I've been so inspired after seeing all of my favorite bloggers share their new fall looks and Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finds! Because all of my wish-list items for that sale sold out and I still wanted new fall pieces, I took to H&M over the weekend with a list of transitionary fall items. I am so glad that I did because I saved way more money!
I've noticed that the most necessary thing for transitionary looks is balance. Particularly if you live in warm humid climates like me, I can't comfortably start wearing sweaters until maybe October. That isn't good enough if I have favorite fall pieces to wear! If I want to wear a sweater, pairing it with cut off shorts gives the outfit a balance -- still achieving that fall vibe without scorching to death in the heat.
These three looks in particular are great functional outfits that work so well in these transitionary months when it's still summer, but fall is around the corner. It is also the absolute best time to shop sales and stock up on staple pieces for fall!
Look #1 -- $19 dress
Isn't this H&M dress so dreamy and perfect for fall?! Especially with my Pink Lily gambler hat and Steve Madden slide on heels, it couldn't be cuter. The fabric and fit is light and airy, so this dress truly is perfect to wear if you want that fall vibe on a warmer day.
Size: US 4 -- it's very roomy, so you could size down if you want a more snug fit.
Similar Missguided dress: I could not find this particular dress online at H&M, but there were plenty in my local store so it may be worth visiting one near you if you can't live without this specific one!
Similar Amazon dress: This one is pink rather than peach, but I would still buy it for under $30!
Look #2 -- $4 Bodycon Dress
I have to say, usually I don't do bodycon dresses. However when it's paired with a cute cardi and some of my favorite loafers and/or booties, it's such a feminine fall look! It also could be worn to numerous different occasions, whether casual or a little more special.
Size: XS -- a small truly would have been perfect, but was not available in my size! The XS still fits but is a little more snug than I prefer.
Black bodycon dress: I only spent $4 on my dress because I got it in store and it's slightly shorter than the one linked, however I would absolutely snatch this midi bodycon!
Look #3 -- $6 Pink Denim Jacket
Oversized denim jackets usually aren't my vibe, but anything pink is! I love pairing this $6 jacket with shorts and a neutral top, or even that black bodycon dress! I definitely plan to wear this with my white jeans and a few summer dresses!
Pink denim jacket: Again, I couldn't find this one online at H&M but a similar one on Amazon is currently listed for about $10!
