Mock Neck Fall Dress
I'll admit that this fit caught me my surprise. When looking at it on the hanger I was a little skeptical, but the moment I tried it on and cinched in the adjustable waist I instantly fell in love! It's very flattering, lightweight and simply perfect for fall. Because this particular one is unfortunately no longer available from Monkees, I have three similar ones linked below, with the Amazon ones being under $30!
Give me ALL the leopard print this season! Leopard a neutral, right? This Aerie pullover screams comfort and chic at the same time. Wearing this with either a pair of joggers or denim jeans and white sneaks is my go-to casual vibe this fall. I'm SO ordering this before the month is up!
White ankle booties have been on my wish list for a while. There's something undeniably chic about them paired with a cute dress or sweater that instantly elevates a look from casual to fab! I've never tried shoes from Tilly's before, but they just look amazing.
Why am I suddenly drawn to mock/high necklines?! I'm definitely not upset about it though because this top is simply fabulous with its neutral color, subtle ruffles and all around elegance. I can see this being worn so many different ways, namely with a high waisted blue jean and beige hat -- even with those white booties up above!

I've been on the lookout for a tank top that doubles as a sports bra with padding for so long. There's no "wish list" item reference here, I'm definitely ordering this soon!
There are truly so many items I would love to try from this brand. The number one however is this sculpting set that comes with a lighter stick for highlighting, a darker one for contouring and a buffing brush! Free of nasty ingredients like parabens, sulfates, gluten and lead, Cosmakery products checks all my boxes -- in addition to the important one of being cruelty free! I've also heard raving reviews about the coverage and silkiness of these sculpting sticks form bloggers I follow, so I'll definitely try them one day!
Well, this certainly counts as a splurge item that I would never justify getting simply because I want it. A custom created Barrington tote will be my reward when I land my next big professional leap or life milestone, so I have my eyes on one that I've already designed -- oops! Obviously I'm not traveling as much since Covid-19 has put a stopper on that. But for quick weekend visits or occasional trips, this roll out toiletries bag is perfect! What I especially love about this are the bottles that you can fill with your favorite shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. They fit into little magnetic containers that stick to a vegan leather roll up bag. Not only is it more sustainable, but you don't have to buy travel sized products!
I stopped getting my nails done professionally a couple years ago -- which still makes me sad LOL! Going every two weeks got to be too expensive and added up, so that's why this at home gel kit can really save some cash and keep your nails looking fab! Plus there is no UV light necessary with this set, which mitigates risk of that potentially harmful carcinogenic.
2020 has been the year that I've pursued more sustainable choices -- aside from just using my own reusable water bottle. Now don't get me wrong, I have SO much work to do and things that I could do better, but I am happy with the progress that I've made. One thing that would really cut back on my single use products however is reusable makeup pads from Clean Market. I use at least two cotton balls every single night when I take off my makeup -- yikes. This pack of eco-friendly organic pads made from hemp would significantly cut back on those!
