This month's Top 10 will feature a diverse mix of wish-list items from beauty to fashion for a few different reasons. Because August is when I begin looking forward to cooler weather -- but really won't really see it until October -- it presents a great planning opportunity. I have time to research what items I want to add to my fall wardrobe, and what pieces to snap up during end of summer sales! This is also when I begin thinking about the products my beauty routine needs in order to prep my dry skin and hair for weather changes.
Being totally transparent, I've already purchased some of these items and look forward to the possibility of getting the others too!
Here are my choices for August's Top 10!
Nothing screams chic fall more than a felt hat, but I love the trend of pairing it with cute summer outfits too! It seems to balance a pair of cut off shorts and a flowy top so well -- even a basic tee-shirt! I may or may not have bought this already...
Finding non-greasy, non-toxic and nourishing face oils is so difficult. Even though my skin is incredibly dry, I don't like a greasy texture. That is why I'm absolutely dying to try the Glossier Futuredew serum! Not only is it free of unhealthy ingredients and is cruelty free, but it is a plant based product that leaves your skin dewy for 12 hours without that greasy feeling. Plus it's only $28! This checks all my boxes in a product!
I love a good street style look, especially with white sneakers. They go with practically everything! While I gravitate towards sneaks with fun details, embroidery, patterns and more, I really need a new pair of simple white ones. These are currently on sale at Nordstrom, so unless they get cleared out during the Anniversary sale, I'll likely snatch these up!
Though I haven't tried a wide number of products from this brand, the quality and results have been outstanding for me in my limited experience! This leads me to believe that the Restore Perfecting Spray is just as amazing with the ability to create intense shine, frizz-free flyaways and moisture for all hair types. I recently discovered that Living Proof is also free of parabens, sulfates and is cruelty free, which is an added perk!
I have a feeling this product will find its way into my shopping cart soon...
Although I am a big-time fan of seasonal scents, I love this one year round. Its fruity and citrus notes add so much life to the ambience of a space. It is both inviting, engaging and soothing! Plus it reminds me of shopping at Anthropologie, yes please! Now this does come in a reed oil version if you have a reed diffuser, however I prefer the more concentrated oil for my regular diffuser.
You all probably know by now that I love a simple look with dainty details. These pants from Stitch Theory 100% had me for that very reason! The eyelet detailing and ruffle hem makes these the cutest pants I've seen all summer! All you'd need with these pants is a solid colored crop top or tank. This would even look great in fall with a neutral top and denim jacket.
To all the blondies out there who like a toned and brass-free color, this is the stuff that could hydrate and tone simultaneously. How is that possible?! This mask contains hyaluronic acid to soften and hydrate your hair with lightweight moisture, edelweiss flower to strengthen hair follicles and of course the brass neutralizer. My hair is extremely fine, so toning shampoos tend to dry it out very easily. This mask however could really make the difference in achieving an icey blonde while not robbing my hair of its moisture.
I love anything Kendra Scott, but these earrings are so simple, chic and a great accessory to so many outfits! Not only is this color perfect for fall and winter, but they are currently on sale too! I definitely had these in my shopping cart before realizing that I shouldn't spend more money on earrings, having just bought two new pairs.
Can't you just picture this sweater with that Pink Lily gambler hat?! I sure can, and that is why I bought it haha! I absolutely love how comfortable and casual this sweater is. Although the style of it isn't as clean-cut as most sweaters I own, this one adds a little more diversity to my collection of J. Crew and Loft sweaters. I also enjoy how I can wear this in the summertime with high waisted shorts and sandals!
Obviously I'm transitioning into fall mode, so I have my eyes on this cardigan! The movement on this is incredible. Even though it is simple, it can elevate any fall look to a chic level while looking effortless!
