Nothing makes me feel more confident than looking like a boss babe in a chic outfit!
Differentiating from my casual weekday preppy style is my alter ego -- chic and posh. I particularly love this elevated look not only because I can wear it during the summertime, but it can also be worn in the fall with an oversized blazer and/or long wool coat! I am all for wearing pastels off-season, so I can't wait to rock this!
As much as I am drawn to looks like this, many of the stores and individual pieces can be very pricey. This look itself would have cost me upwards of $500 if I paid full price for every item. I sure as heck can't afford that! Quality fashion that are both affordable and posh can be difficult to find, but knowing where and when to shop is a great opportunity to get quality at a sale price!
Scroll through the pictures to learn where I got my outfit from, and the deals I got!
These are probably the best pair of trousers I own. They're good quality, under $50 and well fitted! I purchased these from Zara in Sweden when I visited on a business trip. Fortunately for me, the Swedish currency (SEK) was pretty weak at the time compared to the U.S. dollar, so I saved a few bucks from buying them there! Yes, they technically weren't on sale, but the currency difference and solid price of under $50 for good trousers is still a bargain price for well-fitting pants.
Although I can't find these exact trousers anymore, here is another pair from Zara that are similar!
Particularly for trousers and skirts, bodysuits really come in handy when fully tucking your top in is the look you're going for. You don't have to worry about the fabric crinkling or untucking! I particularly love this cowl neck bodysuit that adds a little extra detail without overpowering the look. Plus it's under $10 and white, so it's certainly a versatile piece that can be dressed up or dressed down.
These heels are the best deal I scored with this entire look. These darling Chanel knock-off kitten heels were originally $130 that I got just for $30!!! (My sweet mum actually paid for them though as a little surprise). This was such a crazy good sale that we absolutely could not pass up. Shopping end of summer sales at more expensive retailers are where I get some of my favorite staple pieces, especially at White House Black Market -- one of my favorite posh and professional retailers.
I also got my jewelry pieces from there too! This necklace was originally $50 and the earrings were $30, but I purchased both pieces for $10 each!
Kate Spade -- forever my first love in couture purses. I have a hard time even considering other bags because this brand has served me so well! The pearls and petite size make this purse timeless, classy and functional, so I use this frequently when the outfit calls for it! This bag was originally upwards of $250, but my mom found it on sale for $70 at a Kate Spade outlet!
While this exact purse is no longer in stock from Kate Spade, here is a similar one that's on sale and here is a variety of second hand sellers for the exact one!
Outfits like these are my absolute favorite -- posh yet affordable, versatile yet statement making. I can't wait to shop some upcoming sales to add more chic looks to my wardrobe! XOXO
A huge shoutout to my good friend from Tyler Rhoads Photography for these amazing pictures! Although they're not his favorite type of photos to shoot, his skill and versatility are prevalent in every shot.
